Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this ratcheting clamp with the three inch capacity and a 55 pound clamping pressure. Now, this ratcheting hand clamp will provide a nice firm grip, quick clamping attachment and a nice spring release mechanism that offers an easy one hand release. This clamp is great for light duty jobs where one could use a bit more clamping force than a traditional spring clamp, but not as much as a bar clamp. It's very easy to use and very durable.
I want to zoom in so you can see a little bit better. It's a nice high strength, rubber grip nylon handle to it. It has the pivoting soft jaws with the V groove right here you can see for a nice round application, so if you're going to clamp anything round. And if you notice on the ends here they have these swiveling pads to provide secure clamping on a variety of shapes and work surfaces.Now, maximum clamping pressure is going to be 55 pounds. A few measurements on this, I'm going to give you the overall length from one end to the other is right about nine and a half inches long.
The capacity, if we open this up on the inside is going to be right about three inches. And the throat depth, which is going to be measured from the front here to all the way in there is going to give you about three and three quarter inches.I'm going to zoom out, just so I can show you what we're going to do is I happen to just have two small pieces of wood, which you might want to clamp them together. So, you can just put that on there, clamp it until you get tight and then you can just squeeze it and give enough pressure. It only gives you about 55 pounds, so it's enough to hold it all together. So, you can see it keeps them together.
And then when to release it, you have your lever right down in here. As you're holding it, you can just release the lever and that'll release your clamp. Very easy to do with one hand. But that should do it for the review on the ratcheting clamp with the three inch capacity and the 55 pound clamping pressure.
